NEW GROUP BEGINS JANUARY 20, 2024 - to join please call us or send us an email here.

 

This 6 week group was specifically created to support moms. The goals are simple:

​

- Increase your confidence as a mom and woman

- Reduce stress, and

- Enhance the bond between you and your children

 

The program is facilitated by a licensed mental health therapist with expertise in maternal mental health and draws upon the most current, research-based information to help support new mothers of infants/toddlers (ages 0-5 years). The group is also open to expecting mothers. The 6 sessions will cover the following:

Session 1: Introductions, Parenting and Reparenting

Session 2: Emotions, Triggers & Anger (Hello MOM GUILT!)

Session 3: How to connect with ourselves and our children

Session 4: Big Feelings and (proven) Parenting tools

Session 5: All about expectations - what are they and how they impact us

Session 6: Our goals, our fears, our life
 

The sessions are every Saturday from 10 AM to 11:30 AM starting January 20, 2024 in Indio.  The cost is $240 ($40 per week); we will be accepting IEHP.  To sign up please email us or call us at 442-307-3395 ext 1. Laura Garcia is the creator and facilitator for BABY & ME. Laura has been a therapist for over 10 years, working with children, adolescents and families. She also has expertise in the areas of maternal/perinatal mental health, early childhood development (birth through age 5), parent-child relationships, and the emotional and mental wellbeing of individuals and families. She recently completed the educational requirements to become a certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist through Postpartum Support International. Laura’s therapeutic approach is to connect with moms by validating their experience, providing a safe and nonjudgmental space to vent, discuss and learn new ways to cope with the challenges of motherhood. Her passion for working with mothers and parents emerged after becoming a mom herself - she is the mother to 3 young boys and is passionate about helping other moms through parenthood.
