Desert Insight was founded in 2020 right here in Coachella Valley by people who know this community, love this community, and are part of this community.

We serve everyday people across Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Indio, Cathedral City, La Quinta, Rancho Mirage, and throughout Riverside County: parents, students, blue-collar workers, your tíos and tías. People who have spent years pushing through things, believing what they are experiencing is “just life”.

We offer in-person and online therapy in English, Spanish, and Spanglish in Coachella Valley, plus virtual care throughout California. In many cases, your insurance may cover the full cost, including plans like IEHP, Medi-Cal, and others accepted at our Indio and Cathedral City offices.

We accept IEHP, Medi-Cal, Aetna, Kaiser, Cigna, and Lyra.

Síntomas comunes de salud mental

We Are Our Community

We’re not outsiders looking in. A lot of us come from the same backgrounds as our clients. Our therapists speak English, Spanish, and Spanglish. Many of us have a real understanding and seek to create a safe space where you feel seen.

As a team rooted in the Hispanic and Latino community, we offer culturally sensitive therapy that honors your language, your familia, and where you come from.

Focus on Change We Can Feel

We prioritize a focused, results-driven approach to therapy, targeting and tracking symptoms with evidence-based methods like EMDR for trauma.

We believe therapy should have a purpose and a path forward, so you leave not just feeling better, but carrying the tools to stay well, live fully, and be your best self.

Making Therapy Accessible

We accept insurance (including Kaiser, IEHP, Medi-Cal, and many major plans), offer in-person therapy in Cathedral City and Indio, or telehealth from anywhere in California, and help match you with a therapist who fits your unique needs.

We’ll contact you and take care of verifying insurance and explaining costs, no back-and-forth on your end.

Síntomas comunes de salud mental

If any of this sounds familiar, you are not alone. These are some of the most common reasons people across Coachella Valley, including many in our Hispanic and Latino community, reach out for support.

Overthinking & preparing for the worst

When your mind keeps running through “what if” scenarios and tries to plan for everything that could go wrong, even when nothing has happened yet.

Angry for "no reason"

Feeling irritated or quick to anger without a clear reason, often because something deeper inside hasn’t had space to be processed.

Lonely even with support

Being surrounded by people who care about you, but still feeling unseen, disconnected, or like no one truly understands you.

Stuck, confused or indecisive

Feeling frozen when trying to make decisions, second guessing yourself, or not knowing what direction to take in life.

Anxious or sad most days

Carrying a steady sense of worry, heaviness, or low mood that shows up more days than not and starts to impact daily life.

Insecurities & low self esteem

Struggling to feel confident in who you are, often being hard on yourself or feeling like you are not enough.

Relational Conflict

Experiencing repeated tension, miscommunication, or emotional distance in your relationships, even when you care deeply about the people involved.

Trouble expressing yourself

Finding it hard to put your thoughts or feelings into words, or feeling misunderstood when you try to communicate.

Panic attacks that feel like a "heart attack"

Sudden waves of intense fear or discomfort that can include a racing heart, shortness of breath, or chest tightness, and can feel physically overwhelming even though the doctor has told you don't have heart problems.

If you’ve been searching for a therapist near you, you found us. Welcome to Desert Insight.

Our team of therapists speak English, Spanish, and Spanglish, and serve the Coachella Valley in-person and online.

At Desert Insight, we start therapy with the goal of ending therapy.

That means we focus on real progress you can feel in your everyday life: healthier relationships, better boundaries, more confidence, and more connection to yourself.

The goal is for you to leave with tools that stay with you long after therapy ends. We’ve helped hundreds of Coachella Valley families, couples, and individuals do exactly that, and we’re in the business of being better together.

  • Not at all. A lot of people come to therapy because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply tired of carrying everything alone.

  • Absolutely. Many of our clients are starting therapy for the first time. You don’t need perfect words or a perfect reason to begin.

  • Yes. We offer therapy in Spanish, English, and Spanglish, so you can express yourself in whatever language feels most natural. Our bilingual therapists serve Coachella Valley in person and online across California.

  • Yes. Many of our therapists are bilingual and part of the Hispanic and Latino community ourselves, so we understand the cultural values, family dynamics, and lived experiences that shape how you feel. We offer therapy in English, Spanish, and Spanglish, in a space where you feel understood.

  • Yes. We accept a variety of insurance plans (including IEHP, Medi-Cal, and others) because we believe therapy should be accessible to everyday people in Coachella Valley, not just those who can pay out of pocket. Contact us to verify your coverage.

  • That’s normal. Therapy can feel intimidating at first. We move at your pace and focus on creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself.

  • Yes. We offer therapy for individuals, couples, families, children, and teens throughout Coachella Valley, in person at our Cathedral City and Indio offices, or online.

  • Yes. While our offices are in Cathedral City and Indio, we serve clients from Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Rancho Mirage, and throughout Coachella Valley. We also offer virtual therapy so you can meet with us from wherever you are.

  • Yes. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of our specialties. Our trained EMDR therapists work with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and more, in person and online.

  • We offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get started with no commitment. For clients without insurance, we offer self-pay rates — contact us and we’ll walk you through costs and check whether your plan (including IEHP and Medi-Cal) covers care.

  • Reach out today and we’ll match you with a therapist and get you scheduled — we handle insurance verification for you. Many new clients start within days, in person in Cathedral City or Indio, or online anywhere in California.
