Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions

Q: Does therapy even work?

A: When we say we are client-centered and goal-oriented that means that within our first to third session we will have created treatment plan that has goals that we will have developed together. A treatment plan has goals, objectives and appropriate interventions. You will know therapy is working if those goals are being met within the allotted time frame. It goes without saying that therapy can be hard work, if you do the work and trust the process, you will not be disappointed.

Q: What are your services and what are your fees?

Please refer to services & fees page.

Q: How long does therapy last?

A: This group practice is goal-oriented and client-centered which means we go at your pace. Traditionally therapy is once a week. Brief therapy ranges between 4 to 12 sessions.  Long term therapy can be years long, sometimes people see their therapist once a month or during life transitions.  It is all up to you.

Q: Will I need medication?

A: Psychotherapists are not licensed to prescribe medication but if you have symptoms that may benefit from medication, we will refer you back to your primary physician or a psychiatrist.

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: We currently accept Cigna, IEHP and Medical.
